Chipper Service

Chipper service is available for Berkley residents on a bi-weekly basis from April 7, 2025, until October 20, 2025. No appointment is required, but if you have materials to be chipped, they must be at your curb in a neat pile before 7 AM every other Monday (beginning April 7). The chipper schedule is weather-dependent.

This service is specifically for branches over 4 feet in length and 2 inches in diameter. 4 feet is equivalent to the height of your front door from the door handle to the floor, or about half the height of a Berkley garage. 2 inches is equivalent to the diameter of the top of a soda can. Anything smaller is unsafe to be chipped and must be included with your yard waste instead. Yard waste is collected at your curb each week on your trash pickup day and must be in paper bags or cans labeled “YARD WASTE” or “COMPOST”.
